This week Film at Eleven will be returning to Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas for the third time this year! From Wednesday, October 15 until Sunday, October 18 Nick and Michele will be on the TCU campus strengthening the already vibrant connection that Film at Eleven and “The Uncondemned” have with the TCU student body.
Working closely with TCU students and Film at Eleven interns Alexa McKim and Haylee Vieregg, TCU’s Quality Enhancement Program’s Student Media team, and the Discovering Global Citizenship Program, we’ve planned a busy week for Nick and Michele. They will be lecturing in at least four classes, including a cinematography class and a class on Crisis Communication.
There are four events open to the TCU and Fort Worth public. On Wednesday evening Nick and Michele will screen a rough cut of “Water War,” and on Thursday evening they will screen footage from “The Uncondemned.” In both presentations they will talk about the process of crafting each story, from idea to execution. On Friday afternoon, TCU students will have the chance to hang out with Nick and Michele during a "meet and greet" to talk with them in a casual setting about how they got where they are today! The final event is a fundraising dinner open to the Fort Worth community on Saturday night at the Blue Mesa Grill.
As you can see it is going to be a busy but fruitful week! Our relationship with TCU has been an integral part of making “The Uncondemned” since the beginning and we are excited to go back. Alexa and Haylee have interned for us both remotely, in our New York office, and out in the field and have been a vital part of the filmmaking process. It’s going to be an exciting week!
